It's not quite The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, but The Rotunda at the newly-opened Caesars Bluewaters Dubai is set to become a dedicated entertainment venue like no other in the emirate when it opens next week.

While there are no pictures being shared at present, the purpose-built circular dome sits at the back of the Bluewater Islands property and is inspired by Rome's famous Pantheon. It can hold up to 500 guests and will host its first concert on December 6.

Male vocal group Tenors of Rock will be the first to play at the venue, and fresh from sold-out tours of the US and a stint in Vegas, their innovative sound puts a twist on anthemic hits such as Sweet Child O’ Mine and God Gave Rock N’ Roll To You.

The team at the new Dubai hotel, which is the first ever non-gaming resort from the legendary Caesars brand, says they are aiming to "blow the curved roof off every night with a high-octane calendar of live shows".

Tenors of Rock will kick-start a three-week run at the venue that provides guests with 360-degree views, before French magician Xavier Mortimer's Magical Dream takes the stage in the New Year.

Mortimer has performed in more than 30 countries, including starring in Cirque du Soleil's acclaimed show Michael Jackson One and is the first Cirque performer to launch a headlining residency on the Las Vegas Strip.

The live entertainment schedule moving into 2019 will include headline acts, theatre performances and comedians. For more information on programming at The Rotunda go to platinumlist.net
