Fans of the popular K-pop group can purchase tickets from Monday, September 16

BTS is currently on a break, but fans in the region will soon be able to welcome back the K-pop supergroup in person.

The seven-piece band will return to performing when they make their Saudi Arabia debut in a highly anticipated gig at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh on Friday, October 11.

How to buy tickets

Tickets will go on sale on Monday, September 16 at 4pm KSA time (or 5pm in the UAE) and can be purchased at ticketmasterksa.com. The concert is part of their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour and is open to fans of all ages.

There are currently 10 types of packages available, with the lowest option starting at 200 Saudi riyals (Dh198) and going all the way up to VIP packages (SAR 900) and soundcheck packages (SAR 1,200).

Taking an 'extended break'

BTS made headlines around the world last month when it was announced they would be going on an “extended break.”

Their agency said the seven members would be undergoing a period of “rest and relaxation" and that the break would "provide them with a chance to enjoy the ordinary lives of young people in their 20s, albeit briefly". This is the group’s first break since their debut in 2013.

Their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour kicked off in Seoul in August 2018 and included stops in the US, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Germany, France and Japan.

Who are BTS?

BTS — made up of Jimin, J-Hope, Jungkook, Jin, V, Suga and RM —are one of the world's biggest boy bands, and boasts a huge and devoted fanbase. They've had a massively successful run in the last couple of years. The band made history as the first Korean group to reach the top of the Billboard 200 chart – not once, but three times.

They've also landed on Time 100's list of most influential people of 2019, had Mattel dolls created in their likeness and were offered a Recording Academy membership invite to help choose Grammy Award winners. They've also been given a star on the Dubai Walk of Fame.

The group first formed in Seoul in 2013 and broke into the US pop market in 2017, becoming the first Korean group to win a Billboard music award. They’ve collaborated with the likes of Steve Aoki, Halsey and Nicki Minaj.
