Celebrated electronic fusion artist Bonobo will headline Groove on the Grass in Dubai later this month.
The British musician, otherwise known as Simon Green, will bring his eight-piece jazz band to the Emirates Golf Club on February 23 for an expansive set showcasing a near two-decade body of work.
The performance will feature select cuts from the acclaimed album Migration, which received two Grammy nominations this year for Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Album.
Bonobo is joined on the bill by the British duo Simian Mobile Disco, who set the dance charts alight with hits such as I Believe, Hustler and Sleep Deprivation.
Also making his way to Dubai is UK DJ and producer George Fitzgerald, whose evocative works stem from him living in the globe's clubbing capital of Berlin. Tracks such as The Let Down, Don't You and Fernweh are characterised by a downbeat mood and soul music influences.
The bill will be rounded off by a string of locally based DJs, which will be announced soon.
After its success in Dubai, Groove on the Grass is expanding its reach this year with a Beirut edition to be held on February 24 at the Warehouse-Grand Factory.
Tickets for the Dubai show begins from Dh265 from www.platinumlist.net. Doors open at 5pm.
