The most notable earworm of 2018, Baby Shark, has been added to the Dubai Fountain's repertoire.

You know the song – the catchy children's ditty that repeats, "Baby shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo," throughout, substituting various family members, from mummy to daddy and grandpa, as it continues.

If there are children in your life, we're sure you're familiar with the song, but you can refresh your memory here (Warning: this will be in your head for the rest of the day):

The 90-second song will be played nightly at the Dubai Fountains at 8pm.

Given how energetic it is as a piece of music, we imagine it will be an aquatic spectacular.

Immensely popular, it is thought that Baby Shark has campfire chat roots, but since being officially released it has garnered more than 2.6 billion views on YouTube and charted at number 32 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 6 in the UK Official Singles Chart, so it's certainly one to take the kids to enjoy this weekend.

Lady Gaga makes her Fountain return

For older audience members, a second 2018 hit has been added to the Dubai Fountain's track listing: I'll Never Love Again from the A Star Is Born soundtrack.

The Lady Gaga ballad has already had a short run at the Dubai Fountain, and was added to the shows for Valentine's Day week – but it proved to be immensely popular and will now be performed nightly at 9pm.

It's a tear-jerker, so don't expect there to be many dry eyes in the house if you line up to watch the fountains below the Burj Khalifa this weekend.

In February the performance ran for over five minutes.

One fan captured a preview of the show back in February, check it out here:
