Analog Room has been a staple on the Dubai nightlife scene for more than seven years.

The pop-up event has garnered a reputation as a night for the city’s true music lovers, forgetting the gimmicks and glitz that are often on show at Dubai’s late night venues, letting the music do all the talking.

In its seven years, the club night has had as many homes, popping up at different venues around the emirate, its loyal legion of fans in tow.

But now Analog Room has its first permanent home, marking the start of a new chapter for this home-grown electronic music night.

Opening its doors within the Ibis Hotel in Al Barsha, Analog Room will give its fans a place to enjoy music and events six days a week.

Founders Mehdi Ansari and Siamak Amidi say the mid-sized space will rival electronic music venues found in Berlin, Amsterdam and London, in terms of both atmosphere and sound quality.

"We are not the place for you to come take selfies," Ansari told The National earlier this year. "We ban photographers from newspapers and video recording with flash. We are not even a big club. We are a small and dedicated party that's all about the music – and people who are looking for a real experience come to us. That's why I feel that we are the real Dubai party."

The resident Analog Room DJs will work alongside a group of associated partners to deliver a schedule bristling with unique ideas and original performances, the team says, promising a series of “mind blowing club events”.

Analog Room opened its doors on Thursday August 15 and will release a weekly events schedule shortly.
