Egyptian pop star Amr Diab will perform on Mykonos in Greece this weekend.

Hosted by Nammos Mykonos, a restaurant on the popular Greek island, the event on Thursday July 25 will see Diab take to the stage, as well as famous Greek singer Antonis Remos.

The star clearly loves the Greek island, and this isn't his first show at Nammos even: the award-winning singer has performed at the venue several times, including last year when he had a big concert to promote his album Kol Hayati (All My Life).

The prolific musician is set to release a new album this summer called Ana Gheir (I Am Different).

The first single from the new album, Bahebo (I Love Him), was released four days ago exclusively via telecoms company Vodafone.

Diab, 57, shot to international stardom with the release of his song Nour El Ein in 1996, which won him best selling album in the Middle East at the World Music Awards.

Last year, the song was remixed by American hip hop star French Montana, Lebanese pop singer and TV personality Maya Diab and Lebanese Canadian R&B/pop singer Massari.

Diab has won a total of seven World Music Awards making him the Arab artist with the most awards from the organisation.
