Afro B immortalised in sand art after his visit to Dubai
The Afrowave musician spent a weekend in the UAE
If you were at Boa Dubai this Friday, you will have enjoyed a live set by Afrowave musician Afro B.
The London performer took to the stage on March 29 for Bling Friday, and then spent the rest of his evening at Base Dubai, where American singer Akon was warming up the crowds.
While the Melanin singer is now safely back in England, where he performed in Northampton last night, he has a quirky souvenir of his time in Dubai to keep hold of.
Immortalised through sand art
A UAE artisan has preserved Afro B's likeness in sand art, providing the musician with a unique keepsake. "So a guy from Dubai made this out of sand," the musician wrote on his Twitter account yesterday. "Just for the love. I love this game."
While there's no clue as to exactly who created it and where he found it from, forget frothy cappuccino art: we love this idea and are keen to see a slew of celebrity visages immortalised in sand going forward.
