Monaco's Prince Albert and his sisters Princess Caroline and Princess Stephanie said a new film in which Nicole Kidman plays their late mother Grace Kelly was a "farce" that bore no relation to reality. They said Grace of Monaco, which will open next week's Cannes International Film Festival, was based on "erroneous and dubious historical references". "The trailer appears to be a farce and confirms the totally fictional nature of this film," they said in a joint statement. "The Princely Family does not in any way wish to be associated with this film which reflects no reality and regrets that its history has been misappropriated for purely commercial purposes." – Reuters
Pharrell ‘happy’ at awards show
Pharrell Williams was teary-eyed after he performed a medley of his hits at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and earned the Innovator award for his contributions to music. "I never dreamt in a million, million, million years as a producer that I would be standing here as an artist," the 41-year-old said on Thursday at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Pharrell performed his songs Happy, Come Get It Bae, Blurred Lines and Get Lucky. Rihanna was the night's big winner, taking home four trophies including Artist and Song of the Year for Stay. – AP
