Footballer Mohamed Salah, who plays for UK Premier League club Liverpool and Egypt's national team, is getting a life-sized waxwork model of his own in Madame Tussauds London, it was announced on Friday.
"The Egyptian king is coming to Madame Tussauds London!" the UK attraction announced on its official Twitter account.
Salah has spent time with experts at the renowned chain of waxwork museums, getting intricate measurements taken in order to create a statue of the Egyptian star, which will be on show at the London museum later in 2020 Salah confirmed in a video he posted across social media.

“I am so excited to be working with the artists of Madame Tussauds on my first ever figure,” Salah said.
Madame Tussauds’ general manager described Salah as a “global star at the peak of his power”, adding: “We know that fans will love seeing him at the home of celebrity, where he rightly belongs.”
Salah's statue will join other new arrivals at the attraction including those of Michael Buble and Taylor Swift.
