A collaboration between the late Michael Jackson and the teen pop singer Justin Bieber has emerged online. The track, titled Slave 2 the Rhythm, was posted on the social media and music website SoundCloud on Saturday. It was apparently recorded by Jackson in 2009, reported MTV UK, then Bieber's vocals were added recently. The song is now credited as "Michael Jackson featuring Justin Bieber". On Friday, Bieber posted on Twitter: "Excited for what is to come. MJ set the bar. Not only for music but for being an entertainer and how you treat the fans. Wish he was here." - The National staff
Hrithik Roshan to resume film shoot
After undergoing brain surgery last month, the Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan announced that he will resume shooting for his forthcoming film Bang Bang in November. Shooting for the movie, directed by Siddharth Anand, was postponed in July after Roshan suffered a head injury while filming a stunt. "I am doubly charged and looking forward to resuming my amazing journey with the team of Bang Bang from mid-November. We promise to give our best to making the film one of the finest ever," Roshan said in a statement. - IANS
J Lo returning to American Idol
Jennifer Lopez will be returning to the forthcoming 13th season of American Idol, reported US Weekly. Lopez sat in the reality show's judging panel for two seasons in 2011 and 2012. The 44-year-old singer joins fellow musician Keith Urban, who has already signed on for another year in Idol. Lopez's rejoining follows the departures of Idol's season 12 judges Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson. Auditions are currently underway in the US for Season 13, but a third judge has not yet been announced. - The National staff
Richa Chadda talks about shooting for Ram Leela
The actress Richa Chadda, who's currently filming for the romantic drama Ram Leela, says it's been a dream come true to work with the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. "It is fantastic. He is someone who is known for the kind of efforts he puts into each frame. It is a childhood dream for any actor. I am lucky that this dream came true so early in life," the 28-year-old star told reporters from the set of the movie, which is said to be a modern adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Ed Helms producing new comedy
Ed Helms will executive-produce a new comedy series for the American network ABC. Created by Mike Arnold - one of the writers of the animated sitcom Archer - the still-untitled show centres on "a brilliant attorney who loses her fiancé and job and takes up with the scrappy, rival firm of misfits across the street", according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project comes three months after the final episode of The Office, reuniting Helms with Universal Television, the studio behind the workplace comedy. - The National staff
