Lauren Gottlieb, a former contestant on the US reality series So You Think You Can Dance, says she's "fallen in love with Bollywood". The 24-year-old dancer makes her Hindi film debut in Remo D'Souza's ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, which releases in the UAE tomorrow. "I want to take the Bollywood style of dancing to the West through my film. This will bring them closer to understanding Bollywood," said Gottlieb. Starring Prabhu Deva and Ganesh Acharya in the lead roles, the film has been compared to the Step Up movie franchise.- IANS

Action time for Leone

The actress Sunny Leone's next film is the action thriller Tina and Lola. The movie's director, Devang Dholakia, says the film will require the 31-year-old star to undergo stunts training. "There are special stunt scenes in the film. I can't reveal much about the film right now but Sunny is so dedicated to her work, I am sure she can pull off the role well," said Dholakia, who directed 3 Nights and 4 Days. Filming for Tina and Lola begins in April. "The film will be shot in various locations, but the major portion will be shot in India," Dholakia said. - IANS

Actors to miss premiere

Due to conflicts in schedule, the actors Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Raj Kumar Yadav will miss the world premiere of their movie Kai Po Che at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 13. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film is a big-screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's bestseller The 3 Mistakes of My Life, about three friends and the ups and downs in their lives. A spokesperson for UTV Motion Pictures confirmed that Kapoor will be attending the festival. - IANS

Dhulia returns to acting

After his acclaimed acting performance in Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur, the filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia has signed on to star in the forthcoming movie Mountain Man after being persuaded by the director Ketan Mehta. "Ketan said he had a role for me in Mountain Man. I play the evil leader of a village in Bihar. I couldn't say no to Ketan. I've been a fan of his work forever," said Dhulia. "I've no intention of pursuing an acting career. I did Gangs of Wasseypur for Anurag Kashyap. Now I am doing Mountain Man for Ketan. That's it." Filming began on Sunday in Mumbai. - IANS
