Paris Hilton gets Goa grooving

Paris Hilton attended India Resort Fashion Week on Saturday in Goa, where she walked the runway for the designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock. "I've always been fascinated by Indian fashion," she said. "I love everything that is beautiful and this is the reason why I love India - for its bright colours and designs." Hilton also visited a local market. "I bought some spices and trinkets for my family." That night she performed as a DJ at the Sandkastle Music Festival. "We will rock this night, Goa!" she told the crowd. - IANS

Kareena Kapoor celebrates Talaash success

Kareena Kapoor says she is elated with the rave reviews she has been receiving for her performance in Talaash, where she co-stars with Aamir Khan. "This is my first big film after my wedding with Saif [Ali Khan] and I'm quite thrilled to have proven that even married women can get the box office going," Kapoor told reporters. "Saif is planning a small party with friends and family as soon as he is back from Lucknow, where he's shooting a film." - IANS

 

Sonakshi has no regrets about Joker

After the back-to-back hits Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore, Sonakshi Sinha failed to replicate the success on Joker, which didn't do well at the box office. "But I don't regret Joker," she said. "For a newcomer like me to get an opportunity to work with Akshay Kumar was amazing." Asked how she selects her projects, she said: "I choose films that appeal to me, those I would spend money on. For me it should be entertaining." - IANS

 

Shekhar Kapur: Paani is a mission

This filmmaker Shekhar Kapur has announced his latest project, the movie Paani. "It's much more than a film. Much more than a passion project. Paani is a mission," he told reporters. The film is set in the future, where water is owned by corporations who use their power to control society. "Amid this world, a young love story breaks all the rules," said Kapur. Hrithik Roshan is rumoured to headline the film, which will feature music by A R Rahman. - IANS

 

Rawal finds promo videos unnecessary

On Saturday, the actor Paresh Rawal shot a promotional music video for his new film Table No 21. But the 62-year-old admitted on set that such videos are not important for a movie. "I feel it is not required. But since I'm part of the film, I have to do it. No matter how much I try to stay away from it, I still have to do it." The suspense thriller, directed by Aditya Datt, also stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Tena Desae and will hit theatres next month. - IANS
