Robin Thicke scores first UK No 1

The American R&B singer Robin Thicke has scored his first No 1 in the British singles charts with Blurred Lines, which has become the fastest-selling single of 2013. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of,” Thicke said in a statement. Amanda Bynes takes a shot at RuPaul

The actress Amanda Bynes insulted the reality show host RuPaul as well as her father on Twitter on Sunday, posting: “My Dad is as ugly as RuPaul! So thankful I look nothing like you both! I had nose surgery after my mugshots so my nose and I are gorgeous!” RuPaul responded to Bynes: “Derogatory slurs are ALWAYS an outward projection of a person’s own poisonous self--loathing @AmandaBynes.” The troubled 27-year-old star was arrested on May 23 on charges of drug possession. She was reportedly evicted from her Manhattan apartment on May 28 after her neighbours filed a complaint. – The National staff
