The film is an adaptation of Rosalind Wiseman's book Queen Bee Moms and King Pin Dads and to be directed by Beth McCarthy-Miller. Aishwarya denies involvement with P Vasu film
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s spokesperson has denied that the actress will star in the southern filmmaker P Vasu’s forthcoming action drama. Vasu recently released the first look of his as-yet-untitled film; posters depict Bachchan on a horse, allegedly in the role of a kalari fighter. “I would like to say that this was one among the several scripts/ideas she has been approached for, but there have been no confirmations at all,” the statement said. – The National staff
Re-release of Anchorman 2 features 763 new jokes
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues will return to cinemas for one week – with nearly every joke substituted for a new one. Paramount Pictures announced on Friday that an R-rated version of the film with 763 new jokes will play in the United States and Britain on Friday. In a statement, the director Adam McKay recommended die-hard Anchorman fans see the new version, but "if you're not, stay very far away". Starring Will Ferrell as the TV news anchor Ron Burgundy, Anchorman 2 has made about US$170 million (Dh624m) worldwide since opening in December. – AP
