Jaya Bachchan teases Aishwarya

In an interview with a local Indian radio station on Saturday, Jaya Bachchan admitted she often teases her daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai by referring to her as a nurse to her grandchild. "I think Aishwarya does a very good job of being a mum. Sometimes I tease her and say Aaradhya is a very lucky girl — can you imagine having a former Miss World as a nurse?" She said she's encouraged Rai to get back to making films. "But she is absolutely hands-on. I do think that's great." * IANS

Sonakshi Sinha fuels talk of Rowdy sequel

Amid speculations that a sequel to her recent blockbuster hit Rowdy Rathore is in the pipeline, the actress Sonakshi Sinha fuelled rumours by promising that the audience will get to know it directly from her, once plans are in place. "I think when a film does well, people immediately expect a sequel or a prequel. That said, when something develops, I will keep fans updated," she said. Rowdy Rathore, directed by Prabhu Deva, marked Akshay Kumar's comeback as a Bollywood action star. * IANS

Joshi: Ferrari film my turning point

The actor Sharman Joshi has received overwhelming critical praise for his performance in the recent film Ferrari Ki Sawaari, which he says is a turning point in his decade-long Bollywood career. "It's a film that I will love and cherish for the rest of my life. I'm extremely proud," he said. When asked about his next project, Joshi revealed: "I'm playing the role of an army officer in my next film, so I have to learn to fly an aircraft. Maybe I have to buy one so I can practise?" * IANS

Rajesh Khanna admitted to hospital

The veteran actor Rajesh Khanna was admitted to a Mumbai hospital on Saturday afternoon. The 69-year-old has been ill during the recent months. Last week, fans held a vigil outside his home and on Thursday a frail-looking Khanna stepped out on to the balcony to wave and show them the V for victory sign. His son-in-law Akshay Kumar told reporters: "He's more than fine. Thanks for your concern." Khanna, who's appeared in 163 films, is considered to be India's first superstar. * IANS

Sonu Sood: Telugu more disciplined

Sonu Sood, an actor in both Bollywood and Telugu cinema, says the latter is more organised. "Both are professional industries, but the south, Telugu, has been more disciplined, organised. They value time," said the actor, who's promoting the thriller Maximum, which is out in India next week. "Bollywood has come a long way, though, with professionals doing good films." In Bollywood, Sonu impressed in Jodhaa Akbar and Dabangg, while in Telugu cinema, he delivered such hits as Super and Arundhati. * IANS
