Jay-Z tops British album chart for first time
Jay-Z has reached the top of the British album charts for the first time with his new release Magna Carta... Holy Grail, according to the Official Charts Company, which compiles the weekly rundown. He saw off a challenge from the Scottish veteran Rod Stewart, whose album Time climbed three places to number two. The English folk rock band Passenger took third place with All the Little Lights. On the singles chart, Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines took the No 1 spot, displacing the British soul singer John Newman's Love Me Again. Vinay Pathak to play Indian independence hero
The Bollywood actor Vinay Pathak has lined up the title role in the director Ananth Mahadevan's new biopic Gaur Hari Dastaan. Pathak will play Gaur Hari Das of Odisha, who waged a 60-year campaign against the Indian government to gain recognition for his role in the country's independence from British rule. "It is a wonderful role and is fantastically directed. I am looking forward to it," said Pathak. The film also stars Konkona Sen Sharma as Hari Das's wife. Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez were married over the weekend in France, her representative revealed on Sunday. Berry, 46, is pregnant with the couple's child and is due this fall.
