Indian star Sheena Chohan nominated for best actress at Shanghai film festival
The Indian actress Sheena Chohan will compete with the Hollywood stars Keira Knightley and Kate Beckinsale for the Best Actress award for her role in the Bangladeshi film Ant Story at the ongoing 17th Shanghai International Film Festival. The film was also screened recently at the festival in the Golden Goblet competition section. Confirming the news, the filmmaker Shekhar Kapur tweeted on Friday: “Congratulations @SheenaChohan for being nominated best actress at prestigious Shanghai International Film Festival for ‘Ant Story’. Terrific”. Ant Story, written and directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, the winner of the Asia Pacific Screen Award, has also been nominated in the Best Picture category. Farooki will accompany Sheena on the red carpet for the award ceremony, which will be hosted by, among others, John Woo and Jackie Chan, on June 22.
Tracy Morgan out of hospital and in rehab facility in New Jersey

Tom Alter to star in Bollywood sci-fi film
The veteran Bollywood actor Tom Alter will play a scientist in Arijit Lahiri’s forthcoming sci-fi thriller Out of Time, a film about time travel that focuses on the terrifying idea of being trapped in a particular time frame or loop and a father who goes missing in a mansion built during the British Raj. Out of Time is co-written and produced by Vaibhav Bhatnagar; the cinematography is by New Zealand’s Jeremy Reagan.
