Malayalam movie star Mammootty is set to make a free appearance in Dalma Mall in Abu Dhabi on Friday, January 26, at 6.30pm. The South Indian star will do a meet-and-greet with fans, and has promised to take pictures with people too.

We're not sure how long Mammootty will stay in the mall, but we do know that many people will come out to see him, so expect crowds. When South Indian actor Nivin Pauly came to Khaladiya Mall last year, there were traffic jams outside, and the shopping centre itself was completely packed.

It's safe to say Mammootty is a much bigger star than Pauly, so we would suggest getting to the mall early if you're keen to see him. The prolific actor has starred in more than 370 films, and already has seven films lined up for 2018 so far. In fact, in 2012 he told us that he had actually lost count of how many films he had appeared in.

Dalma Mall is opposite Mohammed Bin Zayed CIty in Musaffah.

Mammootty, 66, is in the UAE to promote his new film Street Lights, which hits cinemas on Thursday January 24. There will be a special screening of the film at the Cine Royal Cinema after Mammootty's appearance (for guests and selected winners only).

The film has two versions, one that was shot in Tamil and the other in Malayalam, and while the supporting cast is different in each film, both star Mammootty as a police officer called James.
