Indian film star Prabhas shot to superstardom following the huge box office success of the Baahubali films, which released in 2015 and 2017 and featured some of the most impressive stunts ever seen in Indian cinema. His next film, Saaho, however, which shot scenes in Abu Dhabi earlier in the year, promises to be even more spectacular, according to a source close to the production.

Quoted in the Mumbai Mirror, the unnamed source said that the production would be moving onto a final leg of shooting in Romania, and that the film would be wrapped in time for a new year release: "For the final leg, the team had been scouting for exotic and found the perfect settings in Romania. The film will feature Prabhas take up stunts more intense than in the Baahubali franchise. The Romania schedule will also have castles as the backdrop while Prabhas will continue monkeying around. The shoot is expected to wrap up in a month and the film will be ready in time for New Year celebrations."

The film's Abu Dhabi stunts alone, which saw Hollywood stunt legend Kenny Bates come to town to oversee dramatic action sequences featuring a crew of around 250 people and almost 40 vehicles, are reported to have cost around 90 crore (Dh47.3m), more than any of the stunts in the big budget Baahubali movies, while Saaho itself is set to be the second most expensive Indian movie ever made with a total budget of around $46m (Dh169m).

We expect big things.
