Filming is in full swing for The Misfits, the heist thriller being shot in the UAE. The Hollywood movie, which is helmed by Die Hard 2 director Renny Harlin, stars GoldenEye actor Pierce Brosnan, alongside actors including Nick Cannon and Jamie Chung.

The film began shooting in Abu Dhabi last week, and has now moved into the emirate of Dubai to tape scenes, as former James Bond Brosnan revealed on Tuesday.

The Irish actor shared several behind-the-scenes shots on his Instagram account, giving film buffs a sneak peek at The Misfits' location.

Brosnan can be seen perched on a camel in one video clip, wearing traditional dress as the creature traipses the desert's sandy climes.

Gotham star Chung can also be glimpsed in the video, as she rides alongside Brosnan in a navy headscarf, as can director Harlin, who can be overheard setting up the shot.

Brosnan plays the lead role in The Misfits, which follows the story of renowned criminal Richard Pace, who finds himself caught up in an elaborate gold heist that promises to have far-reaching implications.

The film is set mostly in the Middle East, with shooting to take place in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as Los Angeles.

Brosnan also revealed another of the movie's shooting locations to his 975,000 Instagram followers, sharing a video clip captured inside Atlantis, The Palm's aquarium.

"On the set of The Misfits," the actor captioned the post. "Feeding time ... with the sounds of the set, and the great voice of our director Renny Harlin as soundtrack."

The video shows a diver hand-feeding several of the Lost Chambers' creatures, from stingrays to several species of smaller fish.

Mike Angelo, Rami Jabar and Hermione Corfield will also star in The Misfits, which will be produced by Kia Jam (Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For) and Dean Altit (Realms) and executive produced by Jaber (Realms), who also plays the role of "The Prince".

The film's release date is yet to be revealed, although Jaber did reveal the UAE shoot is set to last for 30 days.

"I can't give too much away, particularly since we don't have the distribution deal in place yet," Jaber told The National this month. "But I will say that it's about someone who has to steal something, but for a good reason, to protect someone they love.

"I suppose the closest comparison I could make is that it's a kind of an Ocean's 11-type thing. It's definitely in that sort of area. You'll have to wait to find out more."
