Meryl Streep has donated $25,000 (Dh92,000) to Beirut blast victims.
The American actress, 71, specifically donated to women who have been left homeless, injured or traumatised by the August 4 explosion, which killed at least 190 people and injured more than 6,000 as it destroyed parts of the city and rendered about 300,000 homeless.
Streep donated to Kafa, a non-governmental organisation in Beirut that aims to end violence and exploitation.
"Thank you Meryl Streep for your generous contribution to Kafa’s relief work supporting women who lost their houses, or have been injured / traumatised as a result of Beirut explosion," the charity tweeted.

Its Twitter biography says Kafa "aims to eliminate all forms of gender-based violence and exploitation against women and children."
In the past, Streep has donated to Equality Now, an international NGO that works to eliminate violence and discrimination against women and girls around the world. Streep is on the foundation's advisory council.
She is one of a long list of international celebrities who have donated to the people of Beirut in the wake of the explosion.
The Weeknd gave $300,000 to Beirut relief efforts. The donation was announced by the Starboy singer's Lebanese-Canadian manager, Wassim 'Sal' Slaiby. He and his wife, Rima Fakih, have been working with their entertainment industry contacts to bolster relief efforts for the country.
The Weeknd's former girlfriend, supermodel Bella Hadid, who is of Palestinian-Dutch descent, said she would be donating to several causes in Beirut, as have Keanu Reeves, Rihanna and Dua Lipa.
