An array of stars are attending this year’s Global Gift Gala in Dubai.
On the guest list of the black-tie event on Friday, held at the Palazzo Versace, are Academy Award-winning actor Adrien Brody, Puerto Rican Despacito singer Luis Fonsi and veteran Hollywood star Vanessa Williams, who will receive The Global Gift Excellence Award for her contribution to philanthropic causes.
British singer Alesha Dixon, who recently performed as part of the Abu Dhabi GP festivities, will also lend her talents on Friday as one of the evening’s performers.
Held on the sidelines of the Dubai International Film Festival, the fundraising event - run by the Global Gift Foundation in partnership with Dubai Cares - will aim to raise for projects in India, Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Global Gift Gala founder Maria Bravo says the event has grown substantially over the years.
“Dubai is our most important gala each year. Year after year it has received more and more traction, and this is thanks to having partners like Dubai Cares and Diff on-board,” she said.
“Our gala provides a platform for diversification bringing people from every walk of life together for a common cause – helping others. We have big performers lined up, loved actors, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, great auction items: all the necessary elements to ensure a fantastic event.”
Last year's gala hosted the likes of Hollywood personalities Eva Longoria Baston, Will Poulter, Luke Hemsworth, Jeffrey Wright, Andie MacDowell and singer Anastacia.
Veteran actress Melanie Griffith received the Humanitarian Award.
Tickets for the Global Gift Gala begin from $500 (Dh1,836.50) at rsvp@globalgiftfoundation.org
