Adam Sandler and Salma Hayek have both paid tribute to their Grown Ups co-star, Cameron Boyce, remembering him as a "shining light". The young actor passed away on July 7, aged 20, following a seizure.
"Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around. Loved that kid," Sandler wrote of Boyce on Instagram.
"[He] cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way," he added. "All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences."
Boyce played Keithie Feder, son of Sandler and Hayek's characters Lenny Feder and Roxanne Chase-Feder, in 2010's Grown Ups and its sequel, Grown Ups 2 (2013).
Hayek is also mourning her young co-star and shared a touching tribute on Instagram.
"I had the privilege to play Cameron's mother in [Grown Ups] 1 and 2 and we stayed in touch through the years," she wrote on Instagram. "He was spirited, talented, kind, generous, funny and a shining light. His joy will live in our hearts forever as he goes on dancing and shining elsewhere. My heart goes to his lovely family."
Boyce's family has confirmed that he "passed away in his sleep due to a seizure, which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated".
“The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him," the Boyce family said in a statement. “We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”
Tributes: 'My heart will be forever broken'
Hayek and Sandler aren't alone in paying homage to the young actor. In April this year, Boyce starred in Irish musician Hozier's video for Almost (Sweet Music), dancing throughout the clip.
Hozier has paid tribute to Boyce, saying he was "deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Cameron Boyce". He added: "It was a joy to witness the man's skill. Sending love to his family and loved ones."
Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Cameron Boyce. When we met I was taken aback by his energy and drive, his dedication to his craft and the sheer kindness he exuded. It was a joy to witness the man's skill. Sending love to his family and loved ones.

Disney CEO Bob Iger has described Boyce as "friend to so many of us, and filled with so much talent". Boyce appeared in a number of Disney projects, including the Descendants franchise, kids' series Jessie and was the voice of Jake in Jake and the Never Land Pirates.
The Walt Disney Company mourns the loss of #CameronBoyce, who was a friend to so many of us, and filled with so much talent, heart and life, and far too young to die. Our prayers go out to his family and his friends.

His Jessie co-star, Skai Jackson, has said she is "at a loss for words".
Her full tribute reads: "I don’t even know where to start ... I am at a loss for words. I never thought in a million years I would be writing this. Cam, you were one of a kind. My heart will be forever broken. I am so happy that I got to spend almost everyday with you on set, you gave the best hugs.
"I wish I would have hugged you tighter when I saw you a couple of months ago. Thank you so much for being the big brother I never had ... I am so distraught and I cannot stop crying! I love you so much ... fly high, God's best Angel."
