Kaif talks new film with Chopra, SRK
On his 80th birthday last month, the filmmaker Yash Chopra announced that his latest film Jab Tak Hain Jaan, starring Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan, will be his last. But Kaif thinks the veteran filmmaker should drop the idea. "I don't think he should retire. He has an amazing sense of passion for cinema. I think it will be sad. He's a legend and I don't think anyone can match him," said the actress. Asked how it was like working with Khan for the first time, Kaif said: "I've always wanted to work with him. Initially, it was intimidating. Once that awkwardness was gone, I realised he cares as much for his co-star's scenes as his own." The movie opens November 13 in India. * IANS
Big B turns 70 today
The Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan celebrates his 70th birthday today. Although the actor refuses to disclose details of how he will mark the occasion, his wife Jaya is reportedly planning a black-tie event tonight in Mumbai. Bachchan said: "When I entered films, other people were more interested in celebrating my birthday than I was. In truth, all the gifts that I need have already come my way, in the form of my family. Whenever my birthday comes closer, I inform them not to do anything special because I don't like it. A small and peaceful family time is more than enough for me." * IANS
