Calvin Harris tops British charts

Also, Singham returns to film in Goa; Brad and Angelina might reunite for new film.

The Scottish singer and DJ Calvin Harris hit the top of the British music charts on Sunday with his newly released single Summer, knocking the Dutch artist Mr Probz’s Waves to No 2. The Canadian singer Kiesza’s Hideaway placed third, while Sigma’s Nobody to Love was fourth. John Legend’s All of Me completed the top five singles of the week. Another Scot, Paolo Nutini, stayed at the No 1 berth in the album charts for a third straight week with Caustic Love, holding off the challenge of the new entry Everyday Robots by the former Blur frontman Damon Albarn. – Reuters

Singham Returns to film in Goa

Rohit Shetty’s Singham Returns, the sequel to the 2011 Bollywood blockbuster, will begin filming in the western Indian state of Goa on May 15, according to The Indian Express. The action drama has Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. Locations for the 15-day shoot include the village of Siolim, about 20km from Panaji, the state capital. The film is due out on India’s Independence Day, August 15. – The National staff

Jolie and Pitt may reunite for film

After 2005’s Mr & Mrs Smith, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly co-starring in another movie project, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The script could be a relationship drama that Jolie wrote several years ago about a couple “who take a vacation in a last-ditch effort to save their marriage”. – The National staff
