Canadian rocker Bryan Adams will bring his Get Up World Tour to the Autism Rocks Arena in Dubai in March.

The 56-year-old is expected to perform crowd-pleasing songs from his extensive back-catalogue including Summer of 69, Cuts Like A Knife, Heaven and Everything I Do (I Do It For You). His playlist will also include material from his more recent albums, notably his 13th release entitled Get Up which debuted last year.

Produced by famed ELO frontman Jeff Lynne and co-written with his long-time collaborator Jim Vallance, the album features nine new songs and four acoustic versions.

Adams, who last performed in Dubai in 2010, has made music history over the past three decades by selling in excess of 65 million records, touring six continents and achieving No 1 status in more than 40 countries.

He has been awarded the Order of Canada, inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and has a Star on Canada’s Walk of Fame. Adams has also been nominated for Academy Awards and Golden Globes and is the recipient of a Grammy Award. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has been inducted into Wembley’s Square of Fame.

In between his global Get Up tour dates, Adams is working to a December deadline for the score to the musical adaptation of the film Pretty Woman in the United States.

On Wednesday, October 19, he posted a picture of himself — along with his guitar — on Instagram, with the following caption: “Writing the musical Pretty Woman with longtime pal Jim Vallance in a hotel room somewhere in LA. Sorry if you’re living next door bahahaha. Note: two bags of Mexican tortilla chips”.

Adams will play in Dubai on March 9. For more information about the Get Up tour and to register for pre-sale tickets in Dubai go to www.117live.com
