Hillary Clinton spoke on women's rights at the Women in the World summit in New York last week. And the event has observers of US politics talking. The Daily Beast editor Tina Brown drew huge cheers when she introduced Clinton with the words: "The big question for Clinton now is: what's next?" Meanwhile, Clinton pointedly told her enthusiastic audience that she "looked forward to working with them in the days and years ahead".

Taken together, the statements have been seen as Hilary's clearest reference yet to rumours that she intends to run for president in 2016. So could we really see another President Clinton? Time to hit the books.

After the bruising 2008 battle for the Democratic nomination, some wondered if Clinton would agree to serve under President Obama. Bill's multiple infidelities and the sacrifices Clinton made to further his political career are at the heart of their shared determination, now, to push the Hillary presidency. US journalist Carl Bernstein (yes, the one who broke Watergate) charts the evolution of their complex relationship and shared ambition in the gripping A Woman in Charge.

Bernstein paints a portrait of a woman supernaturally capable of adaptation to the prevailing circumstances. Want to learn more?
