Works of art on social media celebrate the end of Saudi's driving ban

In the last couple of days, social media has seem some beautiful works of art appear in honour of women being allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia

Earlier this week, many around the world celebrated as Saudi Arabia lifted its ban on female drivers on June 24. At the stroke of midnight, many women in the kingdom took to the roads, behind the wheel for the first time. In unity with those women, many on social media took to celebrating the occasion by posting powerful images. Here are some of the best:

Here's a brilliant illustration that was inspired by Rosie the Riveter but given a Saudi twist:

Here's another powerful drawing with the caption: "It's a historic day in the lives of Saudi women. We congratulate them and praise their continued perseverance. The best is yet to come. You (women) are fully capable."

Interior decorator Naveen, an expat in Saudi Arabia, uploaded a simple water paint drawing from artist Qamar Ahmed and explained:

"While I still have to be patient and wait for my Saudi license #expatwifelife, I am so thrilled that life is about to change so much for all of the women of this country. And the best part? Saudi women will FINALLY be able to enjoy the thrill of just cruising to your favorite jam on the highway 🎶 😍💖#congrats #june24#beenwaitingmywholelifeforthis

Comic Con Arabia uploaded a drawing of Catwoman congratulating all the women in the Kingdom:

And finally, Saudi artist Tagreed Albagshi shared her drawings on her Instagram, which are part of a private collection called "Saudi Women drive a Car":
