WATCH: eL Seed gets to work on his first mural in Abu Dhabi

The renowned muralist is collaborating with children in the capital

eL Seed's first project in Abu Dhabi, in which he is collaborating with 20 schoolchildren, is under way.

The muralist, who is based in Dubai and is well-known for his expressive calligraphic forms spray painted across cities around the world, is working on a wall at the Abu Dhabi Municipality Building, near Abu Dhabi Mall.

He and the children have been at work painting verses from a poem about the “Mother of Our Nation,” written by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.

Their next scheduled return is on March 10 when members of the public are able to enjoy food and entertainment from 11am to 8pm near Gate 1.

The project marked the launch of “The Art Movement” by the Abu Dhabi-based Fatima bint Hazza Cultural Foundation.

Last year, eL Seed brought his work to buildings in Ajman where he scrawled Sheikh Zayed’s words in black, painting spaces between loops azure, sapphire and sky-blue.
