Soul of Dubai: Dubai Culture’s latest initiative

An alternative guide book to Dubai was launched last night by the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture).

The people’s view to what visitors and residents should experience during their tour of the city, Soul of Dubai, shows hidden gems of the city that only the locals know and particularly concentrates on the cultural fields of literature, culture, and visual arts.

Launched at Creekside, the newest venue to open up under Brownbook’s venue umbrella – they are the team behind The Archive, The Magazine Shop and The Space (Abu Dhabi) - Soul of Dubai is the first venture in a new initiative aimed at showcasing the dynamic growth of the city as well as its cultural diversity, its roots and heritage.

Saeed Al Nabouda, dcting director general of Dubai Culture said: “The Soul of Dubai Guide will make a sterling new addition to Dubai’s literary heritage, but this time narrating the story of our city through the eyes of its people. The guide will be the definitive referral source on Dubai’s historical, cultural, and creative experiences.”
