The Big Picture has done something different this year. It has collected the works of 45 UAE-based artists and hung them alongside works from 20th century greats such as Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali and Banksy.

Open until May 20 at Pro Art Gallery, the concept is that any piece of work measuring over one metre squared was considered for the show and Ram Nath, the curator, selected the best from over 250 entries.

Then, teaming up with the Pro Art team to select from their collection, he paired them up with local artworks to show just how varied the UAE is in terms of its talent base.

“We want to show that art is bigger than life,” says Nath.
