Film screenings

Book your spot to attend a screening of Star Wars: A New Hope followed by The Hidden Fortress at Cinema Space at their new venue at Manarat Al Saadiyat. Star Wars is the classic 1977 sci-fi film written and directed by George Lucas that introduced the world to a galaxy far, far away. The Hidden Fortress was released in 1958 and was directed by Akira Kurosawa. It stars Toshiro Mifune as a general charged with guarding his clan’s princess as they smuggle royal treasure across enemy territory. The film is in Japanese with English subtitles.

See The Exhibition of Kohi Yoshioka and Japanese Animation Cels, a showcase of oil paintings and Japanese animation cels, the value and rarity of which has increased since anime became an all-digital format in the 1990s.
