Aesop is promising to facilitate the perfect shave with a new shaving duet set featuring a Moroccan Neroli shaving serum and post-shave lotion.
The serum, which is to be used during shaving, is designed to maximise slip and minimise irritation. Offered in a 50ml bottle, the low-foaming serum features extracts of aloe vera, sandalwood and neroli blossom, anti-inflammatory ingredients that will soften and hydrate the skin.
Meanwhile, the Moroccan Neroli Post-Shave Lotion, which comes in a 60ml bottle and should be applied post-shave, is a light, quickly absorbed moisturiser that will calm and nourish every skin type, including sensitive skin. The inclusion of panthenol and sandalwood will calm and smooth the skin.
For the perfect shave, Aesop recommends that you start by washing your face with your preferred Aesop cleanser, before applying a thin, even layer of Moroccan Neroli Shaving Serum. To minimise aggravation, it is best to shave in the same direction as hair growth and replace your blade as soon as it starts to dull – the sharper the blade, the less skin will be aggravated. You should rinse your blade in running water after every stroke and, after shaving, splash your face with cool water and gently pat dry. Finish up by applying the Moroccan Neroli Post-Shave Lotion.
“Shaving can be hard on the skin, but using these products minimises the stress and is beneficial to the skin. When I talk to our customers about shaving, I also advise them to exfoliate once a week to help prevent ingrown hairs, and to apply a toner such as B & Tea Balancing Toner before hydration,” suggest Hayden Davies, Aesop’s manager of retail training and performance, Asia Pacific.
