Mr Al Mazrouei is also chairman of Imagenation Abu Dhabi, a wholly owned subsidiary of ADMC which will develop, finance and produce full length feature films and digital content for Arabic and global markets.</p>

Tim Armstrong has spent much of the past decade at the heart of two of the world's biggest media and internet giants. He has headed AOL since March 2009, prior to which he was Google's president of the Americas Operations, helping to make the internet behemoth's search engine one of the world's foremost advertising platforms.</p>

As another alumnus of Google, Dr Kai-Fu Lee spearheaded the global phenomenon's push into China to corner its enormous market potential, as Google vice president and president of Google Greater China. Before joining Google in 2005, Dr Lee worked at Microsoft for seven years, ending his time as corporate vice president. Departing from Google last year, Dr Lee established Innovation Works, an internet company targeted at the Chinese market.</p>

Dr Suk-Chae Lee, who has led KT Corporation, South Korea's largest telecoms provider, since January 2009, oversaw his company's merger with KTF, a large Korean mobile phone firm. Dr Lee has worked at the heart of South Korean government, politics and economy throughout his professional life, including serving as the chief economic advisor to the country's president and minister of information and communication.</p>

Maurice Lévy serves as chief executive of the Publicis Groupe, one of the world's largest advertising and communications groups. He has led the company for 23 years and worked there since 1971. Since assuming the top job, Mr Lévy has turned the French group into one of the world's advertising and media powerhouses.</p>

As chairman and chief executive of France Telecom, Europe's third largest telecoms companies, Didier Lombard wields considerable clout far beyond his country's borders. He started his career at France Telecom in 1967, and for 15 years, between 1988 and 2003, he worked for the government in a number of capacities, including for the ministry for economy, finance and industry.</p>

Kishore Lulla is executive chairman of Eros International, an Indian media company which produces, acquires and distributes Indian films. Mr Lulla took over from his father in the 1980s, since when Eros has experienced phenomenal growth and now has operations in more than 50 countries, including the UAE, UK and USA. Eros enjoys a 35 per cent market share in a highly fragmented sector, and owns more than 1,900 titles, making it one of the largest content owners in the business.</p>

As president and chief executive of AMD since 2008, Dirk Meyer controls the world's second largest producer of microprocessors, behind Intel. Mr Meyer was previously president and COO of AMD. Before that he led the company's microprocessor business between 2001-2006, during which time its revenue doubled.</p>

Sunil Bharti Mittal founded Bharti Enterprises in 1976 now an enterprise employing more than 32,000 people. The Indian company has interests in a wide range of industries including telecoms, financial services, retail and manufacturing. In 2007 Mr Mittal was co-chairman of the World Economic Forum at Davos.</p>

Mohammed Omran is chairman of Etisalat, the UAE telecoms firm which has been named the best in the Middle East five times in the past three years. Mr Omran joined Etisalat in 1977, one year after it was formed, and between 2005 and 2008 was chief executive and chairman. Mr Omran is also chairman of Thuraya, which operates a leading satellite, geo-mobile communication system with coverage over two thirds of the planet.</p>

Hartmut Ostrowski is chairman and CEO of Bertelsmann AG, a leading international media and services company with more than 100,000 employees in more than 50 countries, which this year celebrates its 175th anniversary. Bertelsmann's companies include RTL Group, Random House and the magazine publisher Gruner + Jahr. Mr Ostrowski began his Bertelsmann career in 1982 and was appointed to his current position in January 2008.</p>

Dr Prannoy Roy is executive chairman and co-owner of NDTV (New Delhi Television) along with his journalist wife Radhika. NDTV operates three 24-hour nation-wide Indian news channels. Dr Roy anchors the 9 O'clock news and presents coverage of special live events such as the government's annual budget and election specials. Dr Roy is also a psephologist.</p>

Hans Vestberg was made president and CEO of Ericsson on 1 January 2010. Mr Vestberg's previous positions included chief financial officer and senior president. Ericsson is one of the largest companies in Sweden and is a provider of telecommunication and data communication systems, and related services, including mobile networks and cable TV.</p>

Mehmet Ali Yalçindag; is CEO and vice chairman of the Turkey-based Dogan Media Group. Mr Yalçindag began his career in 1990 at Dogan D Ticaret, the enterprise handling foreign trade for the Dogan Group. Mr Yalçindag became assistant general manager of the Milliyet newspaper in 1992 and rose to become chairman of the Media Group in 1998.</p>
