Abdulaziz al Abbar won both his matches and Khalid al Harbi prevailed in the tense final game to give the Saudis a 3-2 win and their fourth regional title overall. The Saudis were unbeaten and their delighted coach Bandar al Amiri said: "I think we deserve this title. We have done well all through the tournament.</p> <p>"We have been working hard for more than three months now and have made many sacrifices. Of course, it was God's will as well. "We played against a very young and strong team, and they could have been the new champions. "Our plan was the finish the game 3-1, but our player [Naif al Jadaei] lost his focus in the third game and they were able to take the lead." Al Abbar was the key player for the winners, taking them off the blocks with a straight games win over Fahad al Mughaini. Waleed Nasser levelled the scores with a battling four-game win over al Harbi.</p> <p>Ahmed Khalil prevailed over Jadaei in a thriller that went the distance to give Qatar the lead. Al Abbar, however, returned to down Nasser and force the game into the deciding fifth match, where al Harbi kept a cool head to down al Mughaini, 17, in straight games. "We had a big chance," said Qatar's Russian coach Mazunov Dmitry. "We were leading 2-1 and had to win just one of the remaining two games.</p> <p>"But the Saudis are a very strong team and all their three players have a lot of quality. "Still, I have a lot of respect for my team.
