A man has suffered severe burns after his vehicle caught fire on Emirates Road on Monday, Dubai Police said.
“The driver was travelling in a Mercedes on Emirates Road towards Jebal Ali at 1:30pm when his vehicle swerved and crashed into a cement barrier, said Brig Saeed Hamad bin Sulaiman, director of Rashidiya police station.
“The car burst into flames and the driver sustained severe burns,” said Brig Sulaiman
Police and Civil Defence rushed to the scene and pulled the driver from the vehicle.
Brig Sulaiman said the driver was rushed to Rashed Hospital.
