DUBAI // A project to turn Dubai’s streets into an open-air art museum has been approved by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai.

Spearheaded by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, in partnership with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Street Museum project will see international and local artists create distinctive public artworks around the emirate.

He was briefed on the phases of the project, which will be implemented over five years in areas of Dubai that have been chosen on factors including the density of population and the number of visitors.
