ABU DHABI // Dr Tomislav Mihaljevic is taking over the role of chief executive at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Dr Mihaljevic, formerly the hospital’s chief of staff, will succeed Dr Marc Harrison, who is to take on a new position as head of international business development for Cleveland Clinic.

Dr Harrison and Dr Mihaljevic have worked together on launching the flagship health facility for the last five years.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi employs nearly 3,000 caregivers with more than 30 specialities.

Dr Mihaljevic said he would be overseeing Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s continuing expansion.

Waleed Al Muhairi, chairman of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, said: “Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is fortunate to have an individual the calibre of Dr Mihaljevic stepping up into this role. He has worked closely as a partner with Dr Harrison the past five years to make the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi vision a reality.”

He thanked Dr Harrison for his contributions and dedication to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
