Authorities have shut an Abu Dhabi eatery for breaching food safety rules.
The Express Darbar restaurant in Al Mafraq Industrial City repeatedly flouted guidelines related to food handling and storage.
Officials warned the restaurant and fined it three times before closing it.
Inspectors from Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority said the facility had repeatedly failed to abide by food safety rules and endangered public health.
The restaurant can only be allowed to resume business if it improves.
Authorities urged the public to raise concerns about hygiene in any food outlet by calling 800 555.
Al Mafraq Industrial City is a neighbourhood of shops, factories, offices and labour camps close to Al Wathba. It is also home to a major wastewater treatment plant.
