DUBAI // A programme dedicated to promoting research, development and entrepreneurship is set for a Dh1 billion investment.
The Dubai Future Accelerators programme was previously announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and is intended to promote research and development in education, health, sustainability and mobility.
The investment will be allocated to companies and projects participating in the programme over the next five years, said Mohammed Al Gergawi, managing director of the Dubai Future Foundation, as well as Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future.
The programme is part of efforts to attract entrepreneurship to the UAE, according to Wam, the state news agency.
