November dates confirmed for Beach Soccer World Cup

The Asian qualifying tournament for the Beach Soccer World Cup will be held in Dubai from November 7 to 11. Eight teams, including Iran, Oman and Bahrain, will be taking part, with the draw for the event taking place tomorrow. The top two teams will qualify for the finals, which take place in Dubai from November 16 to 22. As hosts, the UAE, who won the Asian championship in 2007 and 2008, have qualified automatically for the finals. Australia, China, Japan and Uzbekistan will also take part in the qualifiers. sports@thenational.ae
