Jassem leads the way

Jaroslav Horak is turning around Al Wasl's fortune, leading them to a crushing 3-1 result over the promoted Ajman at the Zabeel Stadium. Six points from Horak's two games took Wasl to fifth on the point standings, a point behind the Ajman. It took 53 minutes before Horak's men went ahead through Maher Jassem. Oliveira doubled the lead in the 65th minute and the Iranian Iman Mobali added a third 11 minutes later when he converted a penalty kick.

Ajman pulled one back two minutes from time through the Iran international Javad Kazemian, although the ball did not appear to cross the line after bouncing down off the crossbar. apassela@thenational.ae
