Diego Maradona's Al Wasl side suffered the heaviest defeat in the first four rounds of the Etisalat Cup, succumbing 5-0 to Dubai last night.
Maradona appeared to play his best XI available, including his three South Americans, but Wasl unravelled after Dubai's Hassan Mohammed broke the deadlock with a goal in the 71st minute.
Abubakr Camara scored four minutes later, and Simon Pierre Feindouno two minutes after that. Nabil Daoudi confirmed the rout with a goal in the 89th minute, and Camara completed it with a goal in injury time.
It was a fine debut for Dubai's Romanian coach, Ion Marin. Wasl have conceded nine goals in their last two defeats.
