Baiano suspended for three games.

Fernando Baiano, the Brazilian striker of Al Wahda, has been suspended for three matches and fined Dh 6,000 by the Disciplinary Committee of the UAE Football Association after being found guilty for using rude gesture at the referee Fareed Ali in the Pro League match against Al Dhafra at the Al Nahyan Stadium last Saturday. Baiano will miss the next three league games against Al Wasl (Saturday), Al Ain and Emirate, but can play in the Asian Champions League when they face Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia in Abu Dhabi on March 24. The disciplinary committee also fined Al Shabab Dh10.000 after the home fans heaped insult at the referee after the 5-2 defeat to Al Ain in a league game at the Maktoum bin Rashid Stadium in Dubai on Sunday. apassela@thenational.ae
