Al Wasl to become UAE's first air-conditioned sports stadium

Al Wasl Sports Club in Dubai will become the country's first air-conditioned stadium under plans to update the facility.

Dubai Sports Council and the club's management hope that by providing air conditioning at the 25,000-capacity venue, more people will be encouraged to attend the games, according to a statement on Wam, the state news agency.

If successful, the technology will be applied to other stadiums and sports grounds across the country.
