Al Musharrekh's Egyptian Open bid

Ahmed al Musharrekh is determined to post a good finish in the Egyptian Open when the European Challenge Tour event that gets under way at the Mirage City Golf Club, Cairo, on Wednesday.

Al Musharrekh, who flew to Cairo at the weekend, has already created history by becoming the first UAE national to qualify for the event where a strong field – spearheaded by Rory McIlory – will contest for a share in the US$250,000 (Dh1.47 million) prize money.
