Flooding Meadows: A security guard waits on Centre Court during the rain delay.

Rain postpones US Open final

Rain showers have forced the postponement of the US Open men's singles final between world number one Rafael Nadal of Spain and Serbian third seed Novak Djokovic for 24 hours. The total washout gives Djokovic another day of rest after an exhausting five-set semi-final against Roger Federer on Saturday in his bid to deny Nadal a career Grand Slam sweep. Both men are seeking their first US Open title.
