Federer eases past Murray

Roger Federer all but guaranteed himself a spot in the semi-finals of the ATP Tour World Finals yesterday after comfortably defeating Andy Murray.

The Swiss world No 2 proved far too good for his British opponent in their group game in London, cantering to a straight sets 6-4, 6-2 win. Federer faces Robin Soderling in his final group game tomorrow, while Murray must beat David Ferrer in his last game to go through.
