Somerville joins All Blacks

Prop forward Greg Somerville has answered an emergency call from the All Blacks coach Graham Henry to join the New Zealand squad for Saturday's Bledisloe Cup Test against Australia in Hong Kong. Somerville, 30, was left out of the 35-member squad after Henry wanted to experiment with younger players but was called up as cover for John Afoa, who is recovering from a knee injury. Somerville joined the squad yesterday but a decision on who will play against the Australians is not expected until later in the week.

The match in Hong Kong is the first leg of a six-game tour for the All Blacks that includes 'Grand Slam' tests against England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland. * PA Sport
