Abu Dhabi to host its first professional boxing event in October

Danny Williams among high-profile names to compete in competition to be held on Yas Island.

Yas Marina will host Abu Dhabi's first live professional boxing competition on October 17.

Among the competitors is expected to be Danny Williams, the former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion.

The competition will also feature other international boxers and some houshold names including Moroccan welterweight champion Said Ouali and Dubai's Mohammad Ali Bayat.

'Thursday Night Fights @ Yas Island' will be held at the 5,000-capacity du Forum.
